The RHS show Tatton Park 2011

One of the highlights of this weekend was to be a visit to the Royal Horticultural Society Tatton Park Show, which we did today. There is nothing that can describe this event better than photographs, so here they are....

A large 1895 fairground carousel, complete with chunky Scammel  truck mounted generator was the first to meet you as you entered. We then made our way straight to the BBC North West Tonight stand to say hello to the outside broadcast team. Ranvir Singh and Gordon Burns were already there and well into signing photographs.

I don't know what I would do with it, but I always wanted one of these!
A full day out is in store. The weather was kind.
Gordon Burns and Ranvir Singh at the BBC Northwest Tonight stand. BBC Radio Stoke were also there with a roving live interviewer. I managed to avoid him!
But Margaret got in on the act here!

The BBC North West Tonight garden exhibit, with props donated by viewers.

This was an exhibit by a children's nursery. A Wizard of Oz theme I believe.
Plenty to see, do, and buy!
One of the funky garden exhibits.
More my idea of fun, lots of free samples such as whisky liqueur tasters inside!

 Another minimalist futuristic design.

Many bright displays inside the RHS floral marquee.
Bet these bonsai are worth a bob or two.

This is the reason we went. Our neighbour across the road has an involvement with the North of England Orchid Society. This is their stand.
 From another angle.....
This was lovely. It is a painted background set to highlight the cottage garden.
Flower bed displays outside the Reaseheath Horticultural College marquee. The college is in Nantwich close to the boat.

An iconic display for an iconic vehicle! A very pleasant day all in all. Have a look at the video here......
