After a minor transport hiccup, a quick change of plan, and a fast (for the experience imagine your most frightening amusement park ride), taxi to the airport, we are now in Cochin, Southern India after our Jet Airways scheduled flight from Mumbai. (The Mumbai airport transfer car broke down on the way to collect us)! We have now seen a significant rise in temperature, and humidity with daytime readings in the high 30's. Again, a new driver met us at the airport as planned and delivered us to the Vivanta by Taj Malabar hotel, where we will spend another two nights. On Tuesday, another guide will join us for a tour of the city. We have all been here before, and the hotel, across from the famous Chinese fishing nets, has the most amazing infinity pool, and it's own motor cruiser available for private hire. All a little hectic on arrival, with the check-in process taken care of for us again as we were sat down with refreshments, then it was off to afternoon tea on the lawn, followed by the hotel's daily sunset cruise around the islands. Seabourne Odyessy was leaving port at the time. More about the city later. Kerala is a more wealthy state than the others we have visited and it shows. Magic!
