We set off as planned this morning, calling at Swanley Marina on our way to Hurleston Locks and The Shropshire Union Canal, where we turned South towards Birmingham. We decided to stay the night at Hack Green, above the locks, and in open country, which suits us just fine. For this reason image opportunities are limited. Hopefully tomorrow will see us through the Audlem flight of 15 locks, close together and rising around 93 feet off the Cheshire plain. The weather today was forecast as light showers with sunny periods, which has proved to be more like heavy showers with cloud.
